What a great way to kick off the year! Showcasing what we do here at Born and Thread at Australia’s first Streetwear Culture Expo – Ego Expo 2018.
We had the very impressive @inkboy come down and paint some live art in the booth which turned out absolutely killer! With a heap of people stopping to check out the live painting!
We couldn’t be more impressed by the event, a huge shout out to Mel and her team for making Ego Expo happen and accommodating us with a great space to showcase all our printing options for apparel brands!
Between the fashion walks of the apparel brands representing themselves, live music performances, a massive mural right out front of the venue and even 3 on 3 basketball comps, there was never a slow moment!
For all the great people that came down and met us at booth 34, thanks for coming by to have a chat and checking out all things print related!
Can’t wait for Ego Expo 2019, Born and Thread will definitely be there bigger and better!
We are kicking off 2017 in a big way, with a new office and showroom located in the same building at Ironside Studios in Kensington.
As you can see we have had the very talented artist and friend @inkboy come by the new office and work his magic on one of the walls there! He absolutely knocked it out of the park with this 3.5m wide x 2.5m high mural. :O
But good looks aside, we now have a fully stocked showroom with plenty of blank garments to try on and check out as well as printed samples, we invite you to come down.
Because sometimes emails aren’t enough to get your vision for printing across, so that’s why we have dedicated a space to talk it through and know exactly what your best options are when it comes to printing your order.
Born and Thread is proud to announce we will have a full A4 feature ad in the upcoming Collide Magazine issue no 5 coming out later this month.
Collide is a free, high quality art and culture magazine, with 100 pages of info about the latest trends in music, art, fashion and design.
Well worth a read in our opinion, even if we are a little biased. Haha.
You can even view all their previous publications online for free and see for yourself how impressive Collide Magazine is for a free publication.
Our feature apparel brand of the month is none other than Ironhides Supply Co, by far one of the most understated independent apparel brands out there.
Mark Richardson (you can check out his illustrations here >> www.marky.graphics)
created and runs Ironhides, his obsession with custom typography, lettering and illustrations is what sets him apart from the rest of the brands out there trying to hustle in on the t-shirt game.
All of his current designs are hand crafted by Mark himself, which makes him a one man force to be reckoned with! Not many apparel brands can proudly say they have single-handedly produced all the designs in their range. It’s a seriously impressive feat.
We have had the honor of printing t-shirts for Ironhides for almost 3 years now and have watched the brand go from strength to strength.
So if you are looking for a new t-shirt to wear or even a gift for loves ones with the ever fast approaching Christmas season, be sure to visit the Ironhides site and support a local brand, designed, produced and printed right here in Australia.
